RACE TECH for SUPERMOTO

Supermoto is a very specialized setup and Race Tech knows Supermoto! We have been providing setups since the beginning of this exciting class and we continue to fine tune and update settings to offer the Supermoto Racer the best there is!

SuperMoto suspension has 
3 specific considerations:

  1. Maximum traction.
  2. Pitch control – this means controlling excessive front to back movement (which really is a geometry consideration).
  3. Bottoming control.

 

Up front this means G2-R Gold Valves, Rebound Gold Valves and proper Springs.  At the rear, Gold Valves and Springs.

 Chassis Geometry is a major concern. With the use of ►Scheibner Mega-M.A.X. we have identified major problems with the standard Supermoto setup.  To cure these problems we recommend individual measurement on the Scheibner Mega-M.A.X.chassis measurement tool.  The proper setup requires new Fork Bottoms and/or Triple Clamps.

SPRINGS

GOLD VALVE KITS

Race Tech's award winning Gold Valve Kits for Forks and Shocks provide a personalized setup. Gold Valves have an improved flow design that dramatically reduces harshness while actually increasing bottoming resistance (as shown with data acquisition). These Kits can be installed by individuals interested in understanding and tuning their own suspension or they can be installed by a Race Tech Center or Race Tech's Service Department. The Kits include Valving Charts and Valving Shims to allow a custom setup for a specific rider and conditions.

Fork Rebound Gold Valve Kit: Many stock rebound valving systems are grossly inadequate. No matter what modifications are attempted, the stock valves will never perform with precision or control. If you race or simply want the best, Race Tech's Rebound Gold Valves are the solution to improved traction. Used by major factory teams, these valves increase flow area, putting valving control on the shim stack instead of the piston. This results in outstanding tuneability, improved control and traction.

G3-LD Shock Gold Valve Kit: Guaranteed to provide better handling and each kit includes a Gold Valve and a personalized valving setup. REBOUND SEPARATOR VALVE

 

 

Rebound Separator Valves replace the Shock Shaft Nut and with an asymmetric valve that flows through the Low-Speed Rebound Adjuster. This means Low-Speed Rebound Damping can be set for excellent traction while keeping the Compression nice and firm. This dramatically increases traction while giving better bottoming resistance.

HONDA STEERING DAMPER GOLD VALVE KIT

 

 

Stock Honda steering dampers come with an under-damped feel with a small amount of adjustability. To help the steering damper become more effective and predictable, Race Tech has developed a Steering Damper Gold Valve Kit to increase damper performance and adjustability. The kit comes with instructions for 3 settings: soft, standard and hard.

 

 19mm SHOCK SHAFT KIT

Race Tech has developed a 19mm Shock Shaft Kit to greatly improve the performance of your stock shock. The benefits of a larger shaft include more flow for increased adjustment, and also provides improved strength. Available for Japanese motocross bikes with 16mm stock shock shafts.

The 19mm Shaft Kit features an 8 clicks per revolution rebound adjuster for improved fine tuning. Dyno testing verifies compression adjustment range is increased by nearly 4 times, and rebound adjustment range offers nearly a 50% increase. Flat Track requires more suspension tuning track-to-track than any other genre of motorcycles due to a wide variety of soil conditions and banking. This makes the 19mm Shock Shaft Kit particularly important. The 19mm Kit provides a significant increase in overall range while the additional clicks create more precise adjustments.

COATINGS

Coatings drastically reduce friction to provide a smooth and consistent feel, as well as provide an excellent resistance to wear.

Diamond Like Coating (DLC2):

DLC2 is the best of the best when it comes to coatings. Applied to the exterior of the chrome tubes, it is extremely hard and slippery.

Fork Tube & Shock Body Hard Anodizing:

Hard anodizing is a treatment for aluminum surfaces only. Many of today's stock forks come with the aluminum outer tubes hard anodized from the factory; however, the coating is many times very thin - wearing through in less than 10 hours of riding. Once worn, bushings ride on soft aluminum creating friction and an inconsistent feel.

ADJUSTABLE FORK LUGS

 

 

Extreme Riders Adjustable Fork Bottoms change Trail with Axle Inserts that move the axle back for Supermoto racing. QTA Adjustable Fork Bottom Kits are available for 47 & 49mm Showa, 48mm WP and 50mm Marzocchi forks. The Adjustable Fork Bottoms radically improve traction, handling, and control for Supermoto racing.

Scheibner Mega-M.A.X. Chassis Analysis

Race Tech has identified the need for bikes to be measured and has formed an alliance with Scheibner Ltd. of Germany! Using the most advanced technology in the motorcycle industry the Mega-M.A.X. precisely measures and analyzes the chassis' geometry and alignment. The Scheibner Mega-M.A.X. allows the technicians to optimize the motorcycle's chassis, steering geometry, swing arm and fork assemblies.

Mega-M.A.X. services are available for all types of motorcycles: Street, Dirt, Supermoto, Cruisers, H-D, not just road race bikes.
