The challenge of hillclimbing is managing the variables. No two hills are the same. Dirt composition and moisture, steepness, ruts, bumps, jumps, turns, and other obstacles are always different. As axle position changes the leverage on the shock and the front/rear weight bias changes radically. Traction, wheelie resistance, and suspension stiffness are a huge part of this dynamic.
